Englewood Beer Board to meet on September 13, 2010 at 5:30p.m.
the meeting will be held in the Municipal Building 
regarding the Dollar General Stores request for a beer permit

Now accepting credit/debit and electronic check payments for utility payments/miscellaneous utility payments, property tax paymentscitations and other miscellaneous payments. Click on the type of payment that you would like to make. If you have any questions please call City Hall at 423-887-7224 on normal business days between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.

   Please note that Paymentus charges a CONVENIENCE fee for this service. Utility payments and citations are charged  $3.50 per transaction and property tax payments are charged 2.65% per the amount of the bill.

 The Town of Englewood does not receive any of the convenience fees.

WE ARE NO LONGER MAILING OUT FINAL NOTICES FOR UTILITY BILLS. PAYMENTS ARE DUE- WITHOUT PENALTY -BY THE 10TH OF THE MONTH. THE GROSS AMOUNT WILL THEN BE DUE AND MUST BE PAID BY THE 20TH TO KEEP THE SERVICE(S) FROM BEING DISCONNECTED.

MAYORS WELLNESS CAMPAIGN

WHEREAS
, across Tennessee, communities are facing a rise in health care; and
WHEREAS, physical activity levels have been decreasing and obesity rates have been increasing; and
WHEREAS, local leaders are looking for ways to promote active living, healthy eating and overall wellness in their communities; and
WHEREAS, the Mayors Wellness Campaign works with mayors, council members and key leaders to shape healthier lifestyles for the men, women and children in their communities; and
WHEREAS, communities can work toward the goal of healthier citizens and lower health care costs by championing practices and programs that promote active living; and
WHEREAS, the Mayors Wellness Campaign will work to implement a comprehensive program of outreach, education an technical assistance to combat obesity and inactivity issues for the Town of Englewood.
 NOW THEREFORE, I, Mayor of the Town of Englewood, Tennessee, on behalf of the Englewood Town Council, ask that all residents of this community join us in supporting the Mayors Wellness Campaign, and encourage the residents of the Town of Englewood to participate in activities to promote exercise, eating properly an living healthier and better lives.
