Archived Meeting Minutes for the Town of EnglewoodMinutes from the Commission Meeting held on January 3, 1995 The Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the Town of Englewood met in regular session, Tuesday, January 3, 1995 at 6:00 p.m. in the Assembly Room at City Hall. Mayor Cass called the meeting to order with Commissioners Davis and Long Present. Also present were newly elected Commissioners Brock and Middleton. Invocation was led by Commissioner Davis. Motion was made by Long, seconded by Davis to accept the minutes from the regular December 1994 meeting and the December 13, 1994 called meeting. All ayes. Newly elected Commissioners Robert Middleton and Amos Brock were then sworn in and affirmed by Assistant City Recorder Deborah Morgan. Motion was made by Davis, seconded by Long to elect Robert Cass as Mayor. All ayes. Motion was made by Davis, seconded by Long to accept on third reading budget amendments. All ayes. Motion was made by Long, seconded by Davis to accept on third reading 15% sewer rate increase from $2.17 t o$2.50 per 1000. All ayes. Dan Theesfeld with Vermeer of Tennessee and Bob Olsen with Tennessee Hydraulics were present with information concerning the purchase of a chipper by the Town. Each representative left a chipper at City Hall for Board members to examine before bid openings. Mayor Cass then made the following appointments: Ralph Davis--Vice Mayor and Commissioner over Parks and Recreation Mayor Cass will remain in charge of finance. Mayor Cass then stated that he would like to continue having Board work-sessions on the 3rd Tuesday of each month if that was feasible. Motion was then made by Middleton, seconded by Long to adjourn the meeting. All ayes. Robert L. Cass Deborah Morgan
