The Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the Town of Englewood met in regular session Tuesday, April 14, 1997 in the Assembly Room at City Hall.

Mayor Simpson called the meeting to order with the following Commissioners present:  Ralph Davis, Elizabeth Raper, Robert Middleton.  Commissioner Brock was not present.  The invocation was given by Commissioner Davis.

Motion was made by Middleton, seconded by Raper to accept the March 1997 minutes.  All ayes.

Michael Torbett presented the Board with plans for a project for his Eagle Scout Badge.  Motion was made by Commissioner Davis, seconded by Middleton to gravel and fix a pathway located at the Englewood Community Park.  All ayes.  City will provide gravel.

Motion was made by Middleton, seconded by Davis for the City to match the $1800.00 received on the Library Computer Grant.  All ayes.

Motion was made by Davis, seconded by Middleton to hire Barbara Derrick as Manager of the Englewood Municipal Pool and hire Teresa Mason as Substitute Manager.  All ayes.

Motion was made by Middleton, seconded by Raper to approve awarding the Water Tank Repair Contract to K&N Painting Company and authorize the Mayor to sign the contract.  All ayes.

Motion was made by Middleton, seconded by Raper to accept amendment to extend the Town's gas contract with El Paso Energy.  All ayes.

Motion was made by Middleton, seconded by Davis to accept billing errors in the amount of $796.10.  All ayes.

Motion was made by Davis, seconded by Middleton to pass on first and final reading Resolution No. 693 urging fair distribution of Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act  (ISTEA)  Funds.  All ayes.

Motion was made by Davis, seconded by Middleton to donate $1000.00 to baseball teams:  $750.00 to 3 teams-Englewood Youth Baseball and $250.00 to 1 team-Englewood Astro Baseball.  All ayes.

Motion was made by Middleton, seconded by Davis to pass on first reading-Water and Sewer Leaks Ordinance.  All ayes.

Motion was made by Middleton, seconded by Davis to pass on first reading-Garbage Pick-Up Ordinance.  All ayes.

Motion was made by Davis, seconded by Middleton to send out clean up letter.  All ayes.

Motion was made by Davis, seconded by Raper t grant Johnny Middleton use one review for his property located behind Romie Reid.  All ayes.

Billie Koppa was present to ask the Board if the City had $200,000.00 in funds.  Mildred Rogers also wanted to discuss the route of Hwy 411 taking her home when it came through Englewood.

Mayor Simpson ask if there was a motion to adjourn.  Motion was made by Middleton, seconded by Raper to adjourn the meeting.  All ayes.
